Does anyone sharpen for money?

Jazzman,

I think it's really nice too what Art does. Guess I should have said so. BTW, there is already a very good review and comparison written here somewhere. (don't remember where) I'm sure you can find it by using search and "edge pro". It's what convinced me along with talking with Ben of Edge Pro.;)

Another idea is to check out the local gun/knife shows. There may not be any in a town that size, but it may be worth a trip to find one. There's a guy who makes it to all the shows here in Kansas City and charges $2 a blade. It only costs $50 to have a table, so he can pay that off in a couple of hours. He seems to be taking a break almost every time I come around, so I guess he makes enough money to enjoy the rest of the show.

Good luck!

DD

Daniel,

Funny you say that because that's what got me thinking about this. I went to my first show in three years a couple of weeks ago. There was a guy there with the Edge Pro system. I didn't talk with him but did spend some time watching and I liked what I saw. After talking with Ben he said this guy has been doing it here in Ohio for several years now. So the shows are probably out as I can't leave my current job long enough to travel any farther than that.

I still think there is business to be had around here though. Also, there is a big Harley get together coming up in a couple of months so I may look into that too as mentioned earlier. I think that sounded like a good idea too.

Thanks,

Dave

We have a guy that used to work ina a resturaunt, and, was particularly adept at sharpening. he started sharpening other's knives, and then, he got a little truck, and now he is in his own business. His story was featured in the times picayune, our local paper, and he does mostly resturaunt stuff. IMO, that's where the money is
