Does anyone watch House?

I love that show and I love knives. Maybe they should work more knives into that show like Kershaw did with all of Alton Brown's shows on the food network. I say we need more knives on TV!

That's what knife that was!

I thought it was too big for him and that he didn't seem comfortable when he used it.

In the previews for next week they show a guy jam a SOG Twitch into an outlet and then later they show House flicking it open. IIRC House may even try to do the same thing with it. Funny thing is it was still shiny from what I could see. You'd think there would be a big black mark on it.

That and his comment this week about watching Judge Judy just keeps making House cooler and cooler.:thumbup: (Besides the whole drug dependency thing anyway.:o)

Sorry, 'don't like House. Too many medical/proceedural errors.

I was trying to measure the spacing between the screws on the side of an outlet once. I bridged the screws and melted my metal pocket ruler. Maybe the outlet was old and maybe it wasn't up to code, but it did happen. Since the short didn't go through ground it wouldn't necessarily trigger a GFI.

I watch all the House episodes. Sorry to say I never noticed any knives outside of surgical steel. I'll look closer from now on. I'm starting to watch it in syndication as well.

A GFI works through the neutral, not the ground.

Maybe the box you were working on was metal, and therefore grounded, and when you touched the hot screw you also touched the side of the box. I'm an electrician and I've melted a coulple a screwdrivers that way.

I enjoy the show. I don't waste too much effort concentrating on the show's "cutting" implements; rather, I spend my energy concentrating on "Cutty." She is sharp!

I actually enjoyed the part where House was playing with the knife during a conversation. He opened it, and closed it multiple times while staring at it. We've all done that a time or two in our lives. I like that the producers focused on what was obviously a politically incorrect type of knife. The patient finally asked for his knife back. House said no. Guess he wanted to keep it for himself. I've been in hospital beds, and had my knife close at hand myself. Check out my earlier post where I had to assist in my own nerve response test because all the doctor had at hand was a paper clip.It was a Sog Auto Clip.
FYI House in real life a very decent Jazz Piano layer. He may be a knife guy in real life as well??

I was smiling the entire time...I did happen to look over at my girlfriend who was shaking her head and giving me "the look." Clearly she doesn't understand.

How many people close their knives with their face though? I thought the episode was stupid, which is odd because I really like House in general. Haven't cared much for the new season yet though.:(
