Does anyone with Big Hands carry/use a ti lock...........

It happened twice, partially user error. But still not normal.
I smacked the spine on my counter when turning quickly from the kitchen to see what the girls were screaming about like usual. This snapped it shut really hard on my finger.
And another time when piercing cardboard. Both times I did not have my thumb over the lock. But I know that when you have a good one it stays locked either way.
I think the spring was not bent properly at the factory.
I got an email today that it is finished so I should know what the issue was by thursday.
I cannot wait.

I am 6'4 and have XXL hands. I carry my Ti Lock from time to time and especially like it as my more formal/suit wearing knife. The Ti Lock has a ton of appeal and is one of the most interesting knives I own. It does not fit my hand for a full grip carry but it still functions nicely for the task I have to do. The cool thing about the design of the knife is that it adds so much more blade for the total size of the knife. It is basically the same size closed as the Small 21 but has almost half an inch more cutting edge to it. That to me is wicked cool!

I agree totally Whitty. Cody's thread does an amazing job of covering the traits of the TL, much better than I ever could, but the forward choil sans cutting edge loss, combined with the slight downward cant to the blade makes this one amazingly capable edc blade.

One of the biggest obstacles a Ti Lock owner has to figure out is the closing technique. Two handed is of course easy, but to single hand close it, what I do is grasp the locking barrels in a "pinch grip" between my thumb and index finger, then place the frame against my body/leg/whatever and using that leverage pull the barrels over the notch and close the blade under full control. So basically, from a normal grip, just move forward a bit to pinch-grip the locking barrels, push the grip frame against you leg, close the blade - its actually pretty easy.

I've also found that the Ti Lock with the pocketclip removed is a fantastic fit in the fifth pocket (watch pocket) of most of my bluejeans. It is the one folder I've never had the slightest temptation to remove the lanyard from too.
