Does Blade HQ military knives to civilians?

BladeHQ has a disclaimer about knowing your states laws and they are not responsible if you buy an auto and carry it Ina state which is not allowed. They cover themselves legally but sell to anyone except a few states are usually restricted. If this is the case I would move. The last part may not be necessary but it is nice if you live in a state with good knife and firearm laws.

I just checked the knife laws in my state (MA) and no knives of any kind are banned so you can OWN any knife. However , there are restrictions as to what you can CARRY. There's the difference.

This is what I just read. I'm no legal expert.

Also , I just found an old post by TOM1960 from March 25 2011 who says the same thing but goes a lot more in-depth about the subject. If I knew how to post the link I would.

I've ordered autos before and didn't have any problems. It will depend on your state laws, whether or not you can get one shipped.

When I did order autos, I lived in Nevada. Now, I'm in CA so there's no chance of me ordering an auto here.

I live in CA and have bought a few autos.....no issue. I just do not carry them, just collect. Never had to fill a form etc.

your talking of going into a brick and mortar store, he is talking online. I have MANY friends in LE, and Military. He will be asked for a letter of employment from military, police, ems, ect. Why do you think assisted opening knives had to be exempted from the switchblade law?

because switchblades are auto and illegal to own in most states.

Not illegal to own or openly carry in florida...Also not illegal to carry concealed in florida with a ccw.

Bladehq will ship to florida without a letter from military or police whatnot as I am a civilian and they ship to me. Been there done that. Besides the federal law is stupid and everyone knows it...even the govt which is why they don't even try to enforce it.

That said technically you are right about shipping across state lines....but the shipper is breaking the law not the buyer.....at least that's the way I read the law......but I'm not a weapons law lawyer......so for everyone else read the law yourself and your state laws and contact a weapons lawyer before you assume I am right or not. Always do due diligence when it comes to the law....ridiculous laws or not.

I'm not sure if anyone actually answered your question or not, but yes BladeHQ does sell automatics to civilians I bought my Protech TR3 from them.

I remember I was going to buy a protech mini auto that was CA legal. Well during the checkout there was a page where you had to check a box as to whether you were Military, LEO, or just a regular person. Checking that you were a normal person wanting an auto would not let the checkout go through. I mean I could have lied and checked the box saying I was in Law Enforcement or Military, but being honest there was no way I could checkout. Did you guys just lie when you got to this page? I ended up just not buying it because I do not feel comfortable lying on their form to get it shipped to me. I emailed them asking about it, and they said I could call and place the order and that it was allowed, but I didnt really want to make an order over the phone.

Just my experience.

Wow. Good to know. I guess that proves I should never assume anything.... Thanks for the info!

Here we go, I tried to check using one of their Black Friday special autos. Perhaps this appears because I am in CA, but you cannot submit an order unless you choose one of these exceptions. Are people lying and checking a box that doesn't apply to them, or is there something I am missing here?

KW says that are putting the BM 7505-132 back on sale on 12/3/13 but is that just for a pre-order or will they be in stock on that date? I emailed KW so I'm waiting to hear back.

Anyone know?

It is illegal to ship auto knives across states lines if you don't meet one of the criteria above. Period. I live in AZ. Autos are 100% legal to own and carry here (they aren't treated any differently from any other type of knife). I can go into a b&m shop and buy as many as I want or have one sent to me in the mail by any online seller located in AZ, but since I don't meet any of the exemptions noted in jeffsenpai's post, it would be illegal for BladeHq or any other online store NOT located in the state of AZ to ship one to me. The law is indeed ridiculous, and perhaps it isn't often enforced, and maybe it only applies to the person doing the shipping, but I'm not willing to take the risk. ymmv.

I've bought a few from Blade HQ. Never had a problem. Never asked me for anything other than my credit card. I live in PA.

G. Scott,
These laws are intentionally vague and unclear so they can be enforced when they want and ignored as well.

The laws regarding Auto, Bali & Gravity knives are really racist in nature. Remember Westside story? The P.R's were the bad guys and they carried auto knives. The main law concerning Auto's was written in 1958.

Italian gangs, Mexican and mobsters are groups that was giving/selling marihuana to white american kids and everyone knows that only people like that carry or have need of an automatic knife.

No, he won't.

Again, i've purchased "many" auto knives from BladeHQ without any difficulties.

No request for any LE or Mil credentials.

Have all the knives in my possession and ALL were purchased online.

Always a pleasant experiance.
