Does everyone still own SAKs?

I'm in my 40s.

When I was a kid, I saw other kids with their red handled knives. My electronics teacher carried one daily, cleaned his nails with them from time to time. In college, the guys next door ate their salami with an SAK. McGuyver was the bomb. SAKs were everywhere.

Is that still true nowadays? Does everyone have an SAK stashed away somewhere? Or, has the one-handed opener or multi-tool replaced the venerable SAK?

I still love 'em.

Carry one almost every day.Go check out the multitool thread, lots of SAK action there.

I have a basic little sak that's stayed on my keychain for 7 years. It just got swapped out for now though in favor of carrying a small traditional instead. A sak is still great but I wanted to cut down on keychain bulk.

They're definitely still around. I carry one (Super Tinker) every day, and I keep an Alox Classic on my keychain as well. They aren't as easy to spot on account of how they are typically carried, but I've seen several among just the guys I work with. I have seen one person with a many-layer SAK (was on a belt sheath). Didn't recognize or ask him about it, but it looked huge - maybe 6 or 7 layers (not sure what models might be in that size).

I still carry one almost daily. I rotate between the alox cadet and pioneer.

I carry an Alox Victorinox SAK every single day. 99.99% of the time it's a Pioneer. So much utility and function for so cheap, no brainer for me.

I have two, a Pioneer that I carry all the time and an Old Soldier that I have in a box somewhere or another...

I carry either a Tinker or a Super Tinker in right rear pocket plus a Classic on my keys, every day. I also carry a Spyderco in right front pocket. They get used daily because I build and repair things for a living.

I have a dozen or so, but the Compact Victorinox is my fave.
I carry a folder like a BM or spydie in my left pocket, and my Vic in my right pocket.

I always have my SAK Huntsman on me. Everything else gets rotated, but not the Huntsman.
