if you're gonna beadblast something, does it matter what grit you take the finish up to?

does a 220 grit finish differ from a scotchbrite belt satin finish differ from a mirror finish?

I never had much luck going straight bead, I'd go 150 garnet first and then bead. As for your question you may want to try a test first. I know if I hit it with the 150 garnet first it doesn't matter what you had under neath. Main thing is to make sure you have not scratches since they'll still show up no matter what.

I hate to say it but the finer you finish the metal before bead blast the better it will look when done. :grumpy: There are no shortcuts unfortunately.
