Does microtech have heat treat problems?

Bought a SOCOM Elite and Ultratech both manufactured 2019 both in 204P steel
No Heat treat problems from either one for me.

Sound like one or a few people don't like Microtech's particular HT or steel choice.
But like I said, I haven't had any issues. Both my blades hold an edge for a decent amount of time without being brittle.

IMO Microtech's current 204P steel is some of the best steel you can get, especially for EDC
The 204P from Microtech holds an edge for a while but is forgiving enough that you won't take a chunk out of the edge
under normal use cutting appropriate materials.
It is easy to sharpen on a fine diamond/ ceramic stone once the edge does begin to dull.

By lionsteel or verified by a third party?

Why not just ask the guy who did the tests and then had to recant and apologize.

Of course him and the rest of his little group don't log in here anymore so you'll have to go to YouTube or Facebook or wherever he is now.

Not only do they not log on here any more, and one of them specifically denounced anyone who does come onto BF, but I believe the chief instigator of that entire thing, after making a recant and apology video, has taken all videos pertaining to the fiasco off of his YouTube channel.

I worked in a steel mill and a machine shop that made sheer knife blades for the steel industry and hardness testing among other tests are pretty basic prior to and after heat treating. I really find it hard to believe that a 'knife' company of any kind would not be pretty thourough in this process, regardless of the level of product. 99.99% of the people on the internet that are making this type of claim do not have the technical knowledge or equipment capability to test or evaluate this property of a piece of steel, so they are full of sh!t.
