Does Microtech make a Manual M-UDT??

Louis,

Microtech does not make a Manual M-UDT. If you take it apart to take out the spring, you will void your warranty. If you don't mind doing that, look closely at the screws as MT uses spline drive head screws and if you use a TorX on them you will most likely strip them out. They also have a small touch of locktite on the threads which comes apart more easily if you heat the screws up some with a soldering iron. If you are looking for a small Microtech they currently have mini SOCOMs in manual versions or the Kestral is available in Manual as well. Both are smaller than a full size SOCOM. In the next couple of months Microtech is coming out with a manual version of the Lightfoot LCC that might fit your needs well with an MSRP of only $145 and a blade of about 3".

Actually, the MUDT uses Torx and hex screws. On the few I have left- it's a torx pivot and hex handle screws for the MUDT. The Mini Socom Auto has all torx and the mini-Soc manual has Splines as it's the oldest of the 3. They are largely switching over from the Splines if you've checked the last few knives they've produced.
