Does search actually work?

I have used search before but it hasnt worked for a week now I keep getting "HTTP 500 internal server error" mesage I have narrowed down all options etc Is this a problem they are working on??

the word I used is "user" searched only in Busse FS forum within 1 week

This is one of those times when search programs don't work at all (as hardheart pointed out already, the word is on every page) but the tag system will work, once people catch on and start tagging threads. If everybody who offers a user knife for sale tags his thread "user" as soon as he posts it, all you'll have to do is click on Tags then user.

Fair enough guess I didnt look at it that way figured the tool bars etc would be ignored when searching but i've been wrong before

The internal search function probably does ignore toolbars, but it gets overflowed because the word is used a lot in posts, and I don't think google can distinguish toolbars and things like that.

By the way, we enabled closing threads so people could close for-sale threads in the Exchange after the knife is sold. Closing threads in the discussion forums is seldom a good idea....
