Does "Seki" Mean a Certain Level of Quality?

Another thing I will add is that it is widely accepted in Japan that Cold Steel (regardless of what one may think of the founder's personality or marketing style (LOL) has had their San Mai knives manufactured in Seki non-stop since the 1980s. And remarkably once again Mr Hattori's name comes up. Oddly no Cold Steel that I am aware of has ever had "Seki Japan" on their blades, simply "Made in Japan".

The largest blade company in Seki City is KAI founded in 1932, who owns Kershaw and ZT.
