Does Spyderco give out free screw and standoff replacements?

Spyderco has always treated me with respect, honesty and understanding. They'll send you a screw or a set of them, likely.

Reason started talking about different companies cause somebody asked "why should they be free"? Just tried to respond to him saying "well other companies do it,the parts are extremely cheap, and spending $100 on a knife would like to get a free screw just in case it gets lost when taking apart or comes off from being to loose. This is a forum about knives why can't we talk about different companies in a certain forum? I guess i get it. A companies sole purpose on here is to have people only say good things about their knives but some people have problems with them and need help/support to get the product they paid for working again. Can't always be just good things about a certain company. And i can't stress this enough"THE PROBLEM HERE IS NOT SPYDERCO'S FAULT AT ALL!" it was the last user of this knife losing the parts but am in desperate need to get them back cause missing them the knife "does not" function 100%. Something so small and cheap has such an effect on the overall perfomance on the knife would like to pay as least as possible to replace. All companies have their flaws and positives as anything does and i do as a person. So i figured these forums were a place to give your opinion/voice and say what you totally love about a company or their knives and things you would like to see them change in the future. I will stay out of Spyderco forum as i don't own enough of their knives to be a die-hard fan and i like other companies also and it's impossible not for me to talk about them and compare to one another. There is no one company that makes the best knives period, i like to compare them to each other. And everybody has their preferance in knives. I 100% UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE PREFER SPYDERCO'S ABOVE ALL ELSE. I love the ones i have as well but i like tons of other companies also. There is no one company i am completely loyal too. There's just too many great companies and knives to be able to just buy from only one certain company. Anyways Thank You to those that had info about weither they would replace them and if they would do it for free. Greatly appreciated.

While some of us figure you bought a knife second hand and either got it cheap enough that receiving it with parts missing did not make you "undo" the deal, or took it apart and lost them yourself and then, rather than just contacting Spyderco, explaining the situation honestly, and seeing what, if anything, they'd charge you for new parts, post a thread here basically looking for something for nothing, then get upset when folks call you on that.

LOL. I'm not upset in the least. Why would you even think that? Happy that at least a few of you had some info instead just saying they shouldn't be free. I was just hoping somebody knew for sure if they would just send free screws or not. Some of you guys are very critical. Not saying anything bad about Spyderco at all. Just stating other facts i know about other companies and not so sure of what Spyderco's warranties are. The knife did come like this and yes deal was to good that i did not care that was missing the standoff and screws. Came with these extra scales(the red/black and greenblack camo for cheap)I'll probably call them next week and see. Either way it's clear this thread really isn't going into anywhere positive is is?:o So just calling Spyderco and see what they say. Thanks. Dead End.
