Doing handsanding, and polishing.
Time consuming.

Like everyone I'm looking for time savers.

Does anyone here have experience with stonewashing? Did it save time on finishing?

Thanks,
Shawn

It'll save you man-hours for sure. You'll likely still need to prep the blades ahead of time with some sanding, but obviously not taking it as far as you are now.

I'm looking to set up a tumbling system myself.

I have done it and it sure did save time. I had a real nice finish with no money spent. It took, I want to say, 15 minutes vigorously shaking the bin with pebbles and old brake fluid and checking it every now and then. Then I have it a heated vinegar etch for about 15 or 20 minutes. Then put it back in the bin and shook for a few minutes. Im sure with ferric chloride you could get an even better finish.

There's it finished: https://www.barefootblades.com/in-the-works.html
