does the amazing esee warranty cover handles as well?

If they guy would have posted up, "hey I broke my handle scales while batoning through a piece of uranium" I think Tony would have said they were covered because they are. But to post up that I dyed my scales and screwed them up , then Tony's answer was correct.

Bottom line is the OP was very honest and simply asking a question. We have no problem with that. Plus, we realize that people make mistakes sometimes so we offered to send him another set of scales.

Jeff, and guys at ESEE your great!

Wasnt looking for a freebie, but that is INCREDIBLY kind of you guys!

Was my bad, but I remember reading TTD and going, well im not gonna boil it so it will be fine! Sitting there waiting for them to dry cause the color came out great and see some slight curl to the spacers then I started throwing shit(just not my knives) as my own stupidity caused this nothing more.

Thanks guys.

Hey Jeff ,
You know those hairy critters that swing through the trees in South America arn"t really women don"t you:eek:
I think you have been spending way to much time in the jungle:D

Cheers, Richard

Jeff,
I broke my ESEE 3MIL CP while batoning through a piece of uranium. I actually batoned it so hard I smashed the atoms to the point where the knife vanished. Unfortunately I had to vacate the premises, and caused a massive explosion, so no pictures are available. The government wants a media blackout on the whole situation too, sorry. Am I covered?

to get a warranty on "said Knife" you must read link :D
http://www.eseeknives.com/warranty.htm

Warranty Info

No Questions Asked Warranty. If you break it, we will replace it. Warranty is transferable. In other words, we warranty the knife no matter how many times it's been traded, sold or given away.

You MUST complete this form and return it with your knife. You must email us a tracking number and the reason you are returning the knife for warranty repair. We suggest you email us before you ship the knife to make sure the knife is covered since we do not warranty normal wear and tear. The knife MUST BE returned using a Priority Mail box.

Well, no, we wouldn't cover such a thing but being that you screwed up and admitted it, send me your mailing address (jeff@eseeknives.com) and we will send you a set of handles. BUT WE DO NOT guarantee a perfect fit.

Wow, that is amazing! This makes me want to go out and buy a new ESEE...oh wait , I just did..........last night!! Can't wait to get my new ESEE-5!!

Thank you, sir. The OP was honest and basically said "I f**ked up" We respect such honesty. Not saying we will always reward screw-ups not covered by warranty but we try to help people out that are straight-up and honest.

YES!

This is exactly the type of thread that makes Bladeforums so great, and ESEE such an impressive company.

OP was unpretentious and stated simply what he had done, and asked plainly if it was covered. The community responded positively and helpfully without chastising or mocking the OP. Despite not being covered Jeff chose to do OP a favor and hook him up with another set of scales!!!

Makes me glad i just got a safety orange Izzy to go with my sage Izzy! Jeff, you are a man of odd enthusiasms and i commend your integrity and generosity sir!

We should seriously strive to make all threads this positive. We all love knives and petty bickering and infighting doesn't help anyone. Big Ups to the community here!
