Bend the clip a little. Thats what I did to mine.

Normally I like it, it sounds metallic and solid. Makes me know I'm holding a knife!!

Yikes, flicking knives open while driving, while in bed with girlfriend - Man alive, you've got the CRK disease really bad!

You mean these behaviours aren't normal?

I find just pressing the clip onto the lock bar when the knife is closed gets rid of the noise you mention. It could also be that the clip screw needs a bit of a tighten.
