Does this exist? Looking for an inexpensive, small fixed wharncliffe

I've been looking for a new fixed blade. Specifically, I want a small wharncliffe: 3 inch blade or so, four inch handle. No strong steel preference, but it shouldn't break the bank. No tactical looks or materials. The closest to my liking I've seen is the Bark River Lil Tusk, but it's more than I'd like to spend. Any suggestions?

If you don't care about steel the CRKT SPEW (Small Pocket Everday Wharncliffe) is pretty much precisely what you're looking for.

Buck makes the Ergohunter Small Game Avid, with 2.5" blade.

There are a number of tactical types from $22 to $70.

The SPEW (what a terrible name) seems functionally fine but it is painfully ugly. I didn't know about the Buck but the black rubber handle doesn't really appeal to me. And the Bradford and CRK... I don't think inexpensive and Chris Reeve go in the same sentence.

A bit smaller but the CRKT Folts minimalist maybe? I gotta say, while the Bradford may not seem inexpensive it is well worth it in my eyes. I have two of them but not a wharncliffe.

CRKT Dragon / SPEW

They all fall short (or long) of your criteria, so you'll probably have to compromise somewhere.

If you can do 4.5" then CRKT's Crawford Kasper dragon isn't a bad deal with a couple different color combos... They've been on sale a few different sires for around $25... Factory sheath isn't the best, but it works, I like mine, (black w/ tan grip). Enough that I'm seriously considering a 2nd (steel w/ black grip) before they disappear or price goes back up.

Oh, I wouldn't go so far as to say that.

$200-ish for a blade of superior quality, made of superior materials, that will last you your entire life, and last your children their entire lives...

Sounds like Rev is on point to me.

Depending on your price range, you might be able to find a custom maker to put one out for you. Check the JK knives subforum here, and email John. He might be able to help you out with a Mini E01, bluegill, Fire kit knife, a Knecker or Toby's knife with a Wharncliffe, they might be right up your price range.

The Knecker or Fire Kit knife might suit you best.

This might be too tactical looking for you due to the black blade, but Shadow Tech has a wharncliffe knife for $79 called the Talon A (It can be found cheaper on some other websites). They will do custom blades for you if you ask, and as far as I know, they don't charge that much more for the custom knives.

Here is the picture from their website: *You can get the back sharpened or not depending on your preference.

The Boker above is the one I would choose if I wanted one. I sometimes carry a Dozier Personal that has a wharncliffe/sheepsfoot blade if I am in the fixed blade mood. It obviously exceeds your budget if Bark Rivers are too expensive. But my general choice is a Spyderco Kiwi 4, a traditional such as one made by GEC, or my faithful desk knife (SOG Access Card 2.0). These are all folders. I have just picked up the Kiwi and like it a lot for EDC. The price was a tad high for me, but I got it anyway.

A really inexpensive one is made by Condor, a neck knife (1075 steel). I don't recommend it as I can not get the little beastie sharp enough for me. But it is cheap.

Check the knife makers section on here. I saw an awesome Warncliffe on here. Don't recall the dudes name.

Nykm custom fixed blades usually 99 I know that's not inexpensive but those are amazing blades and your getting craftsmanship plus exactly what your looking for. I've seen them in many many colors and materials and styles as well

I'll second CRKT Dragon, $25, can't beat the price and what you're getting for it as a knife.
