Does this knife style have a name?

I still haven't ventured into the knife making world but this style is one of the ones that has gotten me thinking about making my own knives. Does this have a name? I know many custom designs are very original but many others are derivative of previous designs.

I've seen photos of some on older threads, with the blade referred to as a "chopper." I don't know if that is the ACTUAL name of that blade style, though.

Looks like a variation (much smaller) of a dao styled... well, chopper/sword, just in knife size.

Typically used as an all-around chopper, hatchet, and such in China, Japan, etc.

Thats what I was thinking except throw cleaver in there also.

In broad terms chopper sounds about right.

I think that it is a Himalayan farm knife.

I think it looks close to a French knife called a sax or wsax. I have seen old knives from Europe with a verry similar design
