Does throwing a Busse void the warranty?

We've seen plenty of the Cobalt movies that show the blade striking its target, but what does the throwing technique look like? (i.e., I'm assuming you hold it by the handle and wing it....as opposed to holding it by the blade's spine....or does it vary by knife?)

I'm going to break out the .50 cal and see if I can break a CGFBM in one shot tomorrow:D

After reading all the responses, I'm really impressed with the extent of the busse warranty. What's strange is that I can't seem to find the warranty on the website, and if it was my knife company I would show it off as much as I could. I'm either looking in the wrong place, or Jerry is modest about the excellent warranty on his knives.

"With a steel like INFI it's easy to understand why we offer the toughest guarantee in the business. We guarantee against any and all unintentional MAJOR damage forever."

Click on the "Infi" button on the left on the Busse Combat site and scroll to the bottom.

I throw them from the handle. I never hold them by the edge. I did do this once a long time ago when I saw professional knife throwers throwing from the edge. But I ended up slicing my finger. Apparently their knives are not sharp, they just have a point.

It says this on the BadMOJO site in the section call "Story of INFI" which is supposed to be from an email Jerry wrote.

"The only thing we do not cover is intentional damage. For example, let's say you cut your Busse Combat knife in half with an acetylene torch. We probably wouldn't cover that . . . unless it was accidental, in which case we would send you new knife."

Cobalt,

We all need to know who your avatar is.

Oh, Ya, and, ummm........That INFI sure seems to be some tough stuff. I used to throw knives quite a bit until I bounced one off a tree, and it stuck in my thigh. I have been a little skittish about throwing knives since then.

i have heard of cases where knives were broken doing strange stuff:

hammering into a tree then standing on it until it broke.

bending in a vice where blade either snapped or didnt return to true.

etc.

as far as i know, jerry replace all these knives. same for swamprat.

Throwing a Busse voids the warranty of whatever you are throwing the Busse at.
