Does your knife tell you... WARNING !!! GRAHPIC PICS !!!

Yes, that is the tip of my finger.

LOL. I met this old dude once that cut off his finger with a knife and never got it attatched back on and his keep it in a formaldehyde jar.:)

I let myself get too comfortable around my M390 710. My pointer finger slipped off the spine of the knife, and my reaction to pull the finger back cleanly removed a disc of skin off of the tip (Just the tip lol). It bled pretty hard for 20 mins, and burned like a torch when I cleaned it. I'm lucky to have this be the worst of my knife-related snafus.

This is what usually happens to me too. Big chunk of flesh taken off my fingers or the tips. I've got nothing fresh to show at the moment just scars.

Oh I've given myself a couple of these! Lol the worst one I got was on my left thigh from training with a live blade, it's stupid but not as stupid as it sounds. I simply asked my instructor to show me some non lethal targets in knife fighting and he pulled out his Emerson CQC 7 Karambit (we were getting ready to leave, our stuff was all packed) and he simply tapped on the target but the knife was so sharp it cut right through my pants and on my leg. It wasn't deep but it was about an inch and a half long. It bled for quite a while, but eventually just scarred up and now you can't even tell! I'd post a pic of my hairy leg but you wouldn't be able to tell lol

I'm still sawing through my leg with my dragonfly, no pics yet. Will post them when I'm done. Getting through the tibia has been hell.

LOL, I met this old dude one time that cut the ear off of a Vietcong soldier and wears in on his dog tags.

I still go visit that man, was at his place Friday as a matter of fact. He's cray to say the least.

Now that my thread has been labeled with a warning sign due to graphic images maybe you can share a picture?

Okay, you can't just put up a picture like that without telling us a story! :)

Alright alright, story time. The knife that cut the tip of my finger off was my Benchmade Bedlam (since sold). I was doing a cut test by cutting hairs while holding them between my finger and thumb, needless to say I missed, and it passed the test.
Since then I have developed a healthy understanding of what my knives are capable of and take much more care in my handling of them, NEVER USE ONE HAND TO STABILIZE AND ONE HAND TO SWING A BLADE. Never ends well, I always cringe when I see someone chop their knife into the pit of an avocado while in their hand, after this incedent I don't fuck around like that. All it takes is a few inches and you're missing a finger.

This is what it looks like today, it took about six months for my nail to grow back all the way, the hand surgeon I went to said it most likely wouldn't grow back. Well I sure showed him!
