Does your wife know how much your Sebenza costs?

I don't see much point in marrying someone who you can't be honest about your finances with. If there's that kind of a lack of trust, or non-acceptance of hobbies, or your spending is just excessive and you don't feel like being told the truth, then things just seem wrong. But if it works, or at least appears to work to complete strangers in public, then go for it.

My gf doesn't know the prices of the knives I've given to her (including a couple of customs), but she knows the prices of my own. She even talked me into a $500 custom because I was stressing at the time but she knew I would be happier having it than not.

Yep all 4 of my x-wives knew what my guns and knives cost ~~ Browning 25WSSM - $100 and a 3x9 Zeiss Scope $50 and and my Seb's were about $50 or so. Shoot I could not seeing not telling them the truth. Course that is why I have 4 - x- wives also. Now I just have friends with benefits and it all works out better.
They don't care what I spend as long as I buy them a item every once in awhile (local Pawn Shop deals) for Jewlery and Watches.
Works for me.*

4 ex-wives and lied to each.

I've been married ~28 years to one woman and I do not lie to her.

I'll let somebody else connect the dots.

We've never spoken about it. She buys what she wishes and so do I. Then again, since I spend far more money on firearms I think she looks on knife purchases as chump change in comparison.

No, she gave up asking about knifes yrs ago.
(But I always told the truth)
Little box's are just going in & out of the house on a weekly basis.
27 yrs now, so I must be doing something right...........

Does your wife know how much your Sebenza costs? Or any of your knives for that matter? Mine sure as hell doesn't.

No. I wouldn't hide it if it came up, but we do sort of a don't ask, don't tell on purchases either of us would deem ridiculous. (i.e., Sebenza for me, Coach purse for her.) If it does come up, I tell her: "Retail on this is $x and I bought it used and maybe traded into it (if I did.)

The big thing is don't spend money you don't have (as a family). Where it goes in terms of discretionary spending only becomes a problem if there isn't enough.

Oh yes. Being a single income family (mine), it's a topic of frequent discussion, and compromise.
