Doesn't the large Sebenza seem gigantic after carrying the small?

I always thought the small was, well, too small. Then I got one. It's perfect. Carrying a large 21 with Micarta inlays now and, well, it seems big now:p

I though that too, then I got a large..... and I still though that. :D

I don't really find the large Sebenza the be that large a knife so to me the small is still pretty small. I have spent a lot of time with fixed blades though so I suppose I'm just used to using knives larger than your average folder. With that said I can't say I have ever found the Umnumzaan and large Sebenza to be too small in any way, IMO they are just the right size for a wide use folder. :)

I've had many fixed blades and found myself not carrying any of them over 3 1/2 inches. That seems to be my perfect carry size. It's all subjective of course, depending on individual uses and the like. I think what I find funny is how much of an aversion I had to getting a small, I finally did after many many larges and I was pleasantly surprised. I did get a Mnandi or two prior to a small Sebenza so perhaps I'd gotten accustomed that way.

After carrying the small for a bit I picked out a large for the day and man, it seemed HUGE! Not too big, but definitely a great difference from the small:D

I've been EDC'ing a small for several years now. My large seems to be a drawer queen, too large to carry in the city and I seldom get out in the boonies when I'd like something larger.

As you say, the small does 99% of what I need done in an urban environment.

I've been carrying a small sebenza for over a year with daily use as my EDC. Its enough for most tasks and it carries easy on all pants I've used. And, very few scared reactions to it. I had the same question two years trying to choose b/w the large and small sebenza. After I bought a larger folder from another vendor, I realized the small sebenza was the best choice for EDC. The mnandi does a lot for a smaller blade, but I use it for my suits or for nice occassions.
