Dog gone

I'm "actively looking" for a good home for Shadow ;)

He is quite the shop helper!!! I was laying on the floor setting to jack up the 100# Little Giant to move it, and he decided it was a good place to hang out. ;)

I'm pretty sure he's smiling! ;) :D

Thats a nice dog Nick. I think you should keep him. Good companions are hard to find. I cant believe that guy!

Quite the story, real life is often stranger than fiction. He's a beauty, whatever he is and I hope you find a way to keep him. Judging from the pic's I think he'd like to stay...

Nick, if you don't keep that dog, I'm gonna whoop you with a knotted plowline(Josey Wales reference there). Next time you see that wacko neighbor, you need to kick him in the nuts and set him on fire. :D

Its really cool your taking care of him, you might find it hard to give him up! He sure looks like hes happy! You do to in that picture!

He's still here. The husky adoption places told me I'd have to "host him" here since they don't have anywhere to put him... which works pretty well for me cuz I've definitely gotten used to him "helping" me out in the shop.

Here he is helping out!!! ;) :D

It was kind'a hard to see the bolt and wrenches with his head right in front of my face! But how can you not love a dog wanting to be that close???

And just so there's a pic with two good looking subjects... I stayed behind the camera on this one! :o :D I sure love 'em both! :)

Let's hope you decide to "host" him for another dozen years or so...

they both look happy Nick , thanks for the update , Barb was asking about you and the dog yesterday

Thanks Jack!!! :)

Just for the record, I got a pm about "choke chains." While I personally think a snap chain or choke chain can have it's place in training... We do NOT have one on him in the pictures. It's just a leash that has chain on the last 24" or so.

I told Angi that I think Shadow looks like a draft horse getting ready to take off with a big carriage or trailer in that last photo, and she said, "That's what it felt like too!!!" ;) :D

Nick,

That's a beautiful dog and I'm sure you're tempted to respect his love for you and your home.

For what it's worth:

When I was a kid, we had malamutes. A lot of malamutes. As in, with puppies, we had 17 at one point.

For some reason, they liked being chained much better then being fenced in.
