• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Dogbane Cordage?????

HD, I never tried it as a tinder. I think you are right, it should work - let us know if you try. If I still have a stalk under my truck tool box I will give it a shot too.

Are you going to PWYP? If so, I will hook you up with some cordage stuff I am bringing.

No no PWYP.

I can never go because March thru June is my kidding season and in general what I do during that time is way too labor intensive and complicated to ask anyone else to do.

I can usually only start going on trips after June when they are weaned and all the farmsitter has to do is come in feed and milk the goats.

I pick my dogbane dry, but when I am ready to make cordage I always wet the fibers. They seem to wrap much tighter and lock in place much better. You also get a smoother cordage.

We have a pet goat. She thinks she's a dog though, she hangs out with out two pitt bulls. At first they tried to mess with her, but soon found out about horns. Any tips on keeping her from jumping up on my car? Mac
