Dogleg Jack Shadow Pattern

Jared,I think you might just be a natural at slipjoint biulding/knifemaking. For your second one thats pretty impressive & the first was, too.
Put me on your list,OK ? Thanks,-Vince

Thanks Jason and Vince! I really appreciate that. I can promise you there will be more to come and soon enough I'll be putting them up for sale.

Beautifull knife.
I realy like te blade shape.
My first thought was: such a beauty deserves a hand finish
(meant as a compliment)

Ha Ha! OK! BTW-I was not being critical in case anyone thought so, just curious and trying to learn all I can about knives!

I was actually waiting to see a good answer to that question myself. I honestly don't know but can say that not all traditional knives have shields. Maybe a good question to post over in the traditional forum.

Wow, Jared, it seems like just yesterday we were talking about little belt sanders and stuff. Now your onto number 2 slipjoint??? That looks great to me and you know I would tell you otherwise. A heartfelt pat on the back to you Jared. BTW, there is no doubt, you are a natural. It doesn't hurt that you obviously pay attention to detail and do it right the first time if possible.

See you around,

Kevin

Thanks Kevin! I tried sending you a PM when I first posted this one and my first but you don't have the option. It actually hasn't been too long since those days. I owe you big time for steering me in the right direction. Thanks again brother!

Your very welcome Jared. Yeah, I need to renew to platinum but not this month :)

I look forward to seeing what you come up with next.

Hey Jared, I didn't even know you made knives until I saw a pic of one of your fixed blades a couple of weeks ago. I need to come to this room more often.

That Dogleg looks great! Congrats on doing such a fine job on your first two slipjoint's:thumbup:
