Hello everyone!

This is my first custom knife listing in this thread, so I thought I would introduce myself to you guys. I am a new custom maker, focusing in traditional slipjoint knives. I began my craft by modifying GECs, and other slipjoints, and have spent the last few months teaching myself how to make quality, custom slipjoints, and this has become my passion. I have made several full customs for forum members, built specifically to their orders, and now have my first one available to list for sale.

Below, is my take on a dogleg jack. This is my 10th slipjoint, and the first of its pattern, hence the "P" stamped on the pile side of the tang.

  • Clip blade with crescent nick, and a swedge down the length of the blade
Pull is a 5, the blade lies centered, and the spring is flush in all 3 positions
1/8" thick, flat ground 1095, hardened to 59-60, and cryo treated
Tang is tempered to match the spring in order to prevent wear
  • OAL: 3 7/8"
  • Threaded bolsters, pins, and mill-relieved liners are 410 SS
  • Desert ironwood burl scales
  • Double pinned diamond shield

$350 SOLD

The price includes shipping and paypal fees. You can post "I'll take it" in this thread. Feel free to PM me with any questions.

Evan, it's good to see you posting in the knifemaker's market!

Beautiful introduction with this dogleg.

Thanks Todd, Jracingbean, and Brett!

I just wish I were a better photographer and could capture the full beauty of the knife! The wood glows and has some gorgeous depth, and the knife feels great in hand.

My focus when designing patterns is to keep it traditional, but also heavily focused on how they feel in hand. I think that aesthetics and ergonomics are equally important when it comes to shaping a handle. I think this knife does a good job of portraying that focus.

Oh, and its insanely sharp. When I did a shave test, I could literally hear the hair pop, and my hearing ain't too great...

Evan,
CONGRATULATIONS ON #10 and the first available on Blade Forums.
SUPER HANDSOME FOLDER.
I bet it does look and feel GREAT in hand.

Welcome Evan to Blade Forums knife site. Hope to see more of your work. If you ever have any questions about making a knife send me an PM an maybe I can help or guide you to some one who can help you. Joe

Looks really good! Glad to see you have jumped out of the frying pan and not landed in the fire. Will be keeping an eye out for your next knife.
