Dogleg Jack

Up until Saturday at Blade I had this Empire dog leg jack, but I traded it to Waynorth for some nachos and a hot dog.

Get the feeling that Charlie has been tradin' a while Mike ? I saw a guy at Blade Show walking around without his boots. Just figured he got into a trade with him too.:D

LOL, Greg. I'm glad that wasn't me and I'm sure other people at Blade were glad that wasn't me as well.

Charlie was more than fair with me and it went to a very good home with lots of its Empire brothers.

I wonder what kind of boots?:D

Good unique pattern thread here Greg!.

Absolutely Super knives one and all!.

I have several but this is my all time favorite. A vintage S&M three line tang stamp on both blades, with a master clip blade (which I prefer over the spear point) with a long pull:

Only thing though,it kinda don't look like that no more,I really do carry them :D

Great pattern. I just picked up one of the Bose/Case collaboration knives Wednesday from Plaza Cutlery. I wandered in and saw that they have one on the wall, in fact they had two more in the back in boxes. Nice knife.

Elliot, that is a lovely knife there!
found this thread on a search for Case/Bose as I have
a Dogleg inbound this week, can't wait for it to get here...of course!

Gary, I think you'll be very impressed with the knife. It's a stout little guy and takes a great edge.

(Mine came with a really large burr on the master blade and took a bit of reprofiling but when it was done it was wicked sharp.)

Like my friend Greg, I think the dogleg is one of the very best patterns on a variety of levels, not the least of which is looks, size and functionality.

Thanks Elliott, the blades look to be ground fairly thin so I was
betting that they will cut great! and sharpening isn't too much of
a problem :) will check it straight away when she gets here, hoping
it's today! but that's a bit of a stretch, more like tomorrow, but
one can always hope!

I am also waiting on one of these case/bose doglegs in antique bone. Should be here today - fingers crossed. :D

I decided not to get a Case/Bose Dogleg for a while and got this old fella instead. Has "Walk and Talk" that sings and gets spooky sharp that lasts for weeks!

Beauty! can't make out the mark, where'd she come from?

That one's a honey, Greg. One of my favorites so far.

Great one Greg.. I wish they could figure out that bone color these days.. My favorite...

I posted this guy in the "Old Knives" sticky but this thread seems like a good place to show it again. A Winchester from no later than the '40's that still plays a song when it comes to walk and talk and holds a keen edge like crazy.
