Dogs barking at 2, 3, & 4 AM

Been going on for weeks.
ah come on now it must not be that bad since you let it go on for weeks... LOL... shoulda taken care of the problem the 1st day it pissed you off
[qoute]any suggestions? [/quote]
ya..confront the owners...if your unwilling to do so...P.D or Deputy or animal control....make sure you document all that goes on, never know if you just might need those documents

SAMS:

I got a 48" x 1" 6/6 nylon moly walking stick from Blair Toxic Toys. Bigger version of his 3/4" fighting sticks.

But for some reason I 'accidentally' keep grabbing my hickory stick. The one with the Assegai spear on top. Come to think of it that started accidentally happening about the time I noticed the one in the front yard next door sure looks like a pit bull.

Sjambok. Hmmm.

Rus,
After reading about your problem with dogs!!YIPPEE! I love those pooches!!hee! No sleep! Bwaaaa! Just when things quiet down ,you think AHHHH,PEACE & QUIET! then it starts again!!:D THIS IS PAYBACK!! THIS is for calling me Quackpuss!HORAY FOR THE DOGS! If not for Barb I
would see if I could get THAT NDN'S area filled with pooches, just to make HIM miserable!!:D

Hey Rusty we must think alike:)

I bought the "Javelin" on sale. It is too light so a bought the "Boar" spear. That one is just right. Very stout and heavy!

I can't wait to try it out in the swamps.:D

Dogs and people who let them bark at night just hate it when fireworks go off. It's almost July 4th, so do your patriotic duty and light a few off about 3 AM.

Wolvesclaw:

The Sheriff and 3 of the County Deputies remember me as Tribal Compliance officer, from when they worked for the Tribal Police. ( And referred then to me under their breaths as Coyote. ) And they'd KNOW! They might not be able to prove it, but they'd know.

Rusty you old dog, I'm liking you more and more as the days go by...............;)

I personally feel animals are more loveable and honest than many humans, but barking at 0300 is unacceptable. It is the owners fault and inconsideration that needs dealing with although some of the suggestions here are good ones. Some dogs are just a pain in the butt.

Think crossbow...worked for me years ago. Use blunts on the noisy pups because if you use them on their owners it causes lots of problems.

Doorbell AND telephone, on the hour, every hour. Two nights straight worked for me, and yes, I always let them know who I am. One weekend of lost sleep, then the problem is solved.

Get an M-80 with a cig timer on it, when set will go off right in the middle of them barking.;)

First I would go to the neighbors and complain. Often the owners get desensitized and really don't even hear their dogs any more.

Second I would go to the police. In Georgia the police will give the owners a citation for noise violation -- any time of the day or night. HOWEVER the police will require you to be present when they come and point out the noisy pooch. Your neighbor will probably see you with the police.

But if you have approached him earlier with a request for silence and he has ignored it, so what?

Here it will get expensive to the owner and ultimately he will have his dog confiscated. I would rather hurt the owner than the dog.

had the same problem several years ago
wrapped up some old leftover
valium in some hamburger meat and threw it
over the fence. Pup made some strange noises for a while then
went to sleep. became an everynight ritual.

Personally I would prefer roast DUCK!

Deep fried, parboiled, sauteed, smoked, don't matter long as it's Duck. 'Course the duck in question is so foul (fowl?) that all Rusty would have to do is feed it to the offending canines and they wouldn't be able to bark no more on account of "tummy trouble".

You gotta love this.

10 AM and got immediaste results.

Dog was barking out front and each time he barked, neighbor heard a click, as in dry firing. 3 clicks and dog evacuated to house or back yard.
