Dogs. Lets see em.

Here's my boy, Neon, when he was about 1y old (He's 2.5 now):

Here's our girl Vega, not long after we got her, she's 1.5yo now:

Don't have any recent photos, but I'll get some. Vega is obviously huge now, and weighs quite a bit more than our boy, even though she's the same height roughly.

Nawwwww. Awesome to see some more Danes. I'd love to see the grown up versions.

Aye Rick, he seems pretty confident that he's some form of royalty. Most sunny days he just sits outside in the sun, at total attention, ears up, looking around to see who might be lucky enough to notice him.

Ha ha. My boy barks every night as we sit down to dinner.

Does he bitch at you Tim? Neon is a serious talker, grumbler, and a+ complainer, especially if we're paying attention to company or a movie, he'll have a full on conversation about how ill content he is. Vega is just a soft whiner. She's got a stuffed animal they killed that she lays around with crying and chewing on. I think it's one of those "misses her mother" things.

haha does he ever. Norm doesn't really know how to climb stairs. So if we're up stairs on the veranda he'll climb his front paws up 4 steps (back legs still firmly planted on the ground) and make weird half bark/whine vocals at us. Even worse if we have to tie him up.

Awww that breaks my heart Tim. We had to carry Neon downstairs (we lived in an upstairs apartment when we got him) to go do his business constantly as a puppy, and if we walked down without him he'd do the bark/whine also. One day we were getting ready to go on a hiking trip, loading up all the gear, etc, and he got it in his head that we were leaving without him, that was the moment he figured out stairs. Straight down he went, ever since, up or down, no problem.

We had a loft in the next place with a ladder instead of steps, and he would whine on the couch until I'd come down and kneel down in front of the couch, he'd put his paws on my shoulder, and I'd pick him up and carry him up to the loft to sleep with us. That was until he was about 75lbs. After that, he had to deal with the couch. I wish I had a picture of him though, perched on my shoulder.

Haha I don't want to even think about carrying Norm. He's a good 74kg. It's been a long time since we've needed to kneel to put his paws on our shoulders. He'll quite happily jump up when you give him the"hug" command.

Our newer shop dog Kirby seems to like to climb up into the treehouses.
I heard him barking yesterday afternoon. When I looked around I found him up in one of the tree houses barking at another crow.
He just doesn't like crows and ravens coming around here. The 1st photo is about 12 feet up on the first level of the treehouse.

He thought maybe I wanted to play so he came back down.

Oliver and Bentley are now 7 months old.... and both over 100 pounds. :) Purebred Newfoundlands... twin brothers.... and they are like sons to Angi and I. :) Hell, we call Erin, "sissy" when we're talking to them about her. :o :D

Two pees in a pod!!! We will definitely NOT do litter mates again, as it causes a lot of issues with training and behavior... but we love 'em both to death and are very glad to have them both!!!

Bentley likes to sleep in a Yoga pose, hidden tiger crouching frog. ;) :D

If Oliver grows into these puppy paws, (that's my hand) and I'm sure he will... We are REALLY gonna have a handful of dogs here. :D

Great looking dogs Nick. I've heard siblings can be a bit hard. Good luck! You get so much more love from a big dog.

Well got Loki off of craigslist at like 4wks or so. Had a odd tail to say the least. Not sure what he is (heard ridge back, lab, shepherd .....) hes a really good smart dog. He is stubborn as all heck but thats alright.

The little one named Ivan is more the wifes dog. Got him off CL as well. Some sort of pug/chewaha, pickaneese thing. I refer to him as the large rat.
