Dogs & Stuff (Formerly Doodle rides Shotgun)

Brie, Brie, Brie !! Looking pretty saucy there, lady

Thanks for asking about Daisy. She is doing well, still encountering new things ... at this moment we are babysitting a cat and home of a friend who (last heard from) was rv'ing West and was camped mid-Saskatchewan. This is a respite for us after a month and a half in our trusty old tent ... yowza - laundry, tv, plumbing ... sleeping more than 4" off the ground! Decadent. Ha.

Doodle Rides Shotgun IV is way behind schedule ... full of snow and ice adventures. The moment the huge garden here and lawns slow down ... I put in more screen time to finish the vid.

Brie has given me a sense of urgency ... thanks.

BTW Daisy keeps on inviting the cat to play and so far has elicited a few taps on her nose for her enthusiasm.

Ah yes, the black golden doodle ... now the rock hunter doodle :)

Daisy would like to know this sweet doodle's name? Apologies if we have overlooked it if posted in past. Just had to ask ...

We're babysitting a cat! Brie has met him before but in his home. She's going crazy, can't leave him alone, hopefully that will change. The cat has two dogs and could care less about Brie. Be an interesting few days. Glad to see Solo and that Daisy is doing well.

Well Brie has that adorable pose down pat - the pounce ! 😁 ... and she's looking pretty spiff in that beautifully patterned coat too.. The second pic really captures the devilishness in those big brown eyes, even against her black fur - which is not easy to do. This I know from my last curly coat spaniel who was totally black except in advanced old age when she had a grey muzzle. Kudos.

Daisy is well and happy to be back for our over winter stay once again in the cabin. Over summer we camped mostly- what a perfect dog and companion for me and our gypsy life we now lead!

Tomorrow, after clearing the car and surrounds of snow, I hope to take time to pull the pictures off my phone and post a couple here. It seems one moment I was taking a video of the lake that I captioned "Come Paddle the Sky" and the next I was watching snowmobiles from the cabin here as they were towing ice huts and fishers in transporters out onto the frozen lake.

Night walks on the ice, when some huts are still lit up and the shoreline homes glint across the way ... windless, silent like only the winter night can be - well, it's a great spot for us both. Daisy, in her light collar just glows after dark too 😁

A tad off 'doodle' topic with some images here .... but I hoped you may find Daisy's winter home of interest 🤞 - like the impatience of fishers who just must get that ice hut out! Arrow marks the first one I noticed.

Tested 10" of ice and safe enough apparently, on Dec 30th - but not for me with all the melt water on the surface.

Today's walk in this other-worldly landscape (I walk, Daisy runs rings around me and hunts snowmobiles). Not much snow yet.

'told ya Daisy glows in the dark :) ... and it is just crazy to see her flying around across the lake in the pitch of night!

Room to roam for my long-legged doodle

It's festive here.

Wonderful to see Solo all decked out in 'festive' , even while enjoying the couch 😁 ... happy thinking about another joyous romp and roll in the snow if I recall well from earlier posts?

Oh yeah he's still in love with snow and we have lots this year.

Note change of title - inviting all to post dog pics here as always ... no need to be a doodle riding shotgun 😁 Hey - don't cats have their very own thread!? Go dogs!

Saving energy for her joy runs, Daisy is very calm and well mannered indoors. Compliant to the point that she just lays on her own couch here at the cabin and sort of wakes up in her boots and coat (last winter pics) when the walks out onto the lake ice in cold weather require more protection. Yes, no furniture quite contains her long legs ...

Good day!
This is Molly and she is a bulldog.
I do a lot of studio photography with my dog, I hope its ok if I share some of that sometime.
Anyhow, this is her more dignified serious look... she is really just a big ol slobber bomber 😂

Well, Molly certainly is a beauty! B&W suits her dignified look very well imo ... Daisy gives me a look like that when she suspects I have a pair of nail clippers hidden in one pocket 😶 and a treat in the other

Sweet portrait of your 'big ol slobber bomber'. Thanks so much.
