Doh!

A knife that is used is going to get scratches on the blade. Comes with the territory.
 
and we've all been there,one time or another-i usually try to blame it on my spouse,with appropriately bad results ;)
 
FWIW, I couldn't wait to get the first scratch on my new truck, so I could stop worrying about it! That was 16 years ago, and I still love that old truck!!
 
As a kid - I did the same thing, only to the windshield on my Dads truck to take the frost off. I blamed him for having one of those things in the vehicle to begin with but he didn't see it that way

At least you didn't throw hot water on it!
 
funny you say that Waynorth, i've known guys to do so,scratch the truck that is, on purpose just to get it out of the way:) sorta like pulling the band-aid off quick or slow!

Someone scratched my car all the way down the side of it yesterday ( it did not have a scratch on it) I got really angry then something came over me like what you said Charlie. I thought to myself ...I prefer old knives and life is too short...why make it shorter. Now I can quit worrying about it.
