Hey everyone, up for grabs is my second Dokusei tanto. Some may call it a kwaiken, but because of its size, I am calling it a tanto. Either way it is all business.
The blade is .280" CPM 3V with my high performance custom HT which makes it near stainless, extremely tough and improves edge retention. It is double flat ground down to a near zero edge before sharpening. It is extremely sharp. The handle is creamy ivory stingray under epoxy soaked tsuka ito. The menuki on this one is a fossil mako shark tooth, which looks very cool and forms a very nice palm swell.
The sheath is a Hartsfield style that is kevlar lined and wrapped in some gorgeous chocolate brown shark skin. The wrap on the sheath helps keep the sheath in place when tucked in your belt, it also acts a static cord if you wish. This is a very comfortable/versatile way to carry a blade.
