The dominator does not have the little ball knob that you are referring to.
This lock bar extension was designed to move the ball for the detent into a radius that would keep the ball race mark and detent hole hidden underneath the scale of the knife and so that the clip would stop the lock bar from over traveling.
The Dominator has enough front bolster area that this design system was not required.
 
Thanks Darrel Ralph, yes, now that you mentioned it. On the max it was design to keep the ball detent travel arch hidden from view. But I found that it also keeps the lockbar from torking up. Anyway, I have confidance in your design. I am still waiting for mine from Roger at www.knifeworks.com . Can't wait to get my grubby hands on it!!!
