This riflemans bowie was forged out of 1095 steel by the late mastersmith Don Broughton.the blade is 9" long oal is 14".
3/16" stock,tapered tang,brass bolsters,buffalo handle with 16 brass pins,although this piece is an oldie amazingly there are no cracks nor any shrinkage of the slabs.blade is extremely sharp and very pointy.(let me re-phrase it's holy Sh%t sharp).i'm not sure what kind of finish Don used on his blades,i would call it antique finish.very well made leather sheath comes with the knife.
