Hello BladeForums! :)

11 Inch Customized Italian Swivel Bolster Stiletto- $400

I spoke with Mr. Hall on the phone to get detailed information about this knife. Here's what he told me:
- One of his early knives done approximately 20 years ago, charged $350 at that time for these customized knives
- Beautiful Horn handle with dark and light shades as well as some red
- Double Brass liners file worked on both sides with vine pattern
- Mammoth Ivory Button and bottom spacer ring
- Stainless Steel Bolsters
- Vine pattern file work on backspring, blade spine

Function & Condition
- No Safety
- Opens quickly and locks firmly
- Bayonet style blade that is unsharpened
- Condition is excellent, never carried or used

Markings
- Marked "Italy" above "Stainless" on one side of tang
- Marked "Hall" on other side of tang
- Marked "Merlin" on one bottom bolster

Don Hall (Merlin) is an extraordinary knife maker and this is an excellent example of his early work. I've seen many references to him as an inspiration and mentor to some top makers working today. When I spoke with him he was very generous with his time and encouraging of my dream to build knives. None of this really matters except to point out he is an amazing guy and it shows in his knives. Mr. Hall is retired and no longer making knives so try finding one and rarely in this price range.

PM is the best way to reach me. USPS Money Order or Paypal (I cover fees). I'll cover shipping and insurance. Want to sell this but I am interested in a Microtech Crosshair as partial trade. I'm looking for a model with plain edge on bottom and serrated on top.

Thanks for Lookin! :)

Hello BladeForums:)

I think my price is fair for this knife. Do a search for Merlin knives and see what comes up. This is the lowest price by far that I find for any available knife. Don Hall made amazing knives and now that he's retired there is a limited supply available. HE ISN'T MAKIN MORE.

I'm gonna give the knife a few more days and if it doesn't sell then it's meant to stay with me.:D

Pm replied to. Knife still available.

Early Don Hall work here. Just like Picklock Pat and Burn, Merlin started out doing Italian knife custom modifications. How often do these early knives by these guys appear on the market?

This is a great example from one of the best. I'll keep the knife listed until Monday, 9/5. If it doesn't sell by then I'm keeping it.

Thanks BladeForums!:)
