I am in the process of trying to settle some substantial and pressing bills we have, and there's just no way to do it without parting with some knives I consider to be keepers, but sometimes life just bites.
So, for sale is a super sweet Don Hanson folder. Blade is 3" of forged W1 with a killer, very unusual double Hamon, the blade is razor sharp, and very sleek, with a flawless, smooth satin finish that's been lightly etched to give it a subdued, antiqued look. The bolsters are some extremely complex, high contrast Hanson damascus, the handle is some of the richest fossil walrus ivory you'll ever see, which is mostly a light cream color, but, though you can't see it in the pics, a few sections of it are actually pink! I never saw pink walrus ivory before until this knife. The liners and screws are all heat colored gold, the thumbstud is solid 18K gold. The backspacer is solid damascus.
If you have never seen a Hanson folder in person, well, let's just say that his F&F is amazing, the action on this knife is truly smooth as the proverbial silk, and the lockup is absolutely perfect, with zero blade play in any direction, the ball detent is very crisp and grabs the blade from quite a distance with a very satisfying "snick". All too often the fancy, so called "Art" knives sacrifice function for their "Art", with Don's folders, you get beauty, and perfect function as well. You could use this knife hard and it would hold up just fine, but that's up to you.
This knife new, directly from Don would run around $1500, I want SOLD!!!, including fully insured, Priority shipping.
There is a good reason Don has long been considered one of the very top makers of high-end folders, if you buy this knife, you'll see why.
You can return it if not 100% happy.
I can take PayPal if you add the 3%, otherwise a US Postal money order is preferred.
First to email me and say they'll take it gets it.
Thanks for looking.
