Don Hanson III • 'ClackFactor'™ Dress Tactical

W:eek:W!!

Nothing wrong with this folder... Superb in every way!:thumbup: Congrats, Coop!! :)

Mmmm, what a beauty!!

That is an absolute beauty. Original and very functional. Well done and enjoy:)

My photograph is deceptive. Look back at the original drawing. It's nearly identical. The blade almost runs out the back of the handle. Believe it, it's ALL blade. Don will offer his sentiments on this once he chimes in.

Good to know, rumor has it someone was threatening to order a knife with a 1" blade and a 5" handle from Don and then gifting it to me. Even I have my limits. :D

Coop,

Congratulations, that's a great looking knife. I like large folders. As always a great photo.

Don,

Is this the prototype for a line of "Hanson Tacticals"?

So, what ARE the specs. on the beauty?
Imagine that. All my talk of it's size, and I don't even measure....

Blade: 4 1/8" (104 mm) OAL: 9 1/4" (235mm)

I appreciate all the comments. I was supposed to get a LOT of dealer shots finished today, before I shot this. Let's just say I called in sick, once the fun started. ;)

Don, I am pleased you like the images. You're the BEST!

Don,

Jim, I don't make a line of anything :p

But I know what you mean. I've made a few large tactical style folders (7or8) but a little more dressed up than this one. I do like this design a lot and will most likely make a few more. I also really like this old ivory micarta  Didn't think I'd ever say that! :D At least it looks like ivory....

Thanks again, folks!

Jim: Thanks for the props. With your BIG hands I can understand.

Hello CRKT....???!!!

Coop

What a terrific project and what an awesome result! You are both to be congratulated - that is a unique and impressive piece.

Roger

Original and very functional.

Not a big tactical fan here, but Don was kind enough to run this by for me to see on his way to the PO and I was blown away!! What an outstanding folder, Coop. Just a great result after all the planning. That just adds so much to a custom knife.

Original and fuctional describes this to a T. A carbon steel Clacker with hamon, and an edge that is sharp as hell. Have you checked the edge yet, Coop? If not, proceed at your own risk. ;)

Congratulations Coop and Don. Wonderful folder!

- Joe

Coop, one day you aught to line up all of your ivory micarta clackers together for a group shot. I can think of this one, the JWS and Smythe,

Have you checked the edge yet, Coop? If not, proceed at your own risk. ;)
He he he!! OUCH! Dang.....! :grumpy:

Yes Don, gave this an edge that grips your skin as you lightly check it. You know the feel.

Congratulations Coop and Don. Wonderful folder!
Thanks, Joe!

Jonathan: So, you've noticed I have an affection for white folders. You are correct. I own a LOT of ivory micarta... :)

Coop

Thanks to you, I have developed an affinity for white knives. This one of your is magnificent!!
