Just purchased a couple of knives from Mr. Don Hanson III (Sunfishman). I got them as part of the sale he is helping out with on behalf of a collector friend's widow.
Wanted to say that I tried out a small bubinga handled hunter as soon as I opened the shipping box. In fact, I cut the box into very thin strips using one of the knives I pulled out of the box. The little hunter / utility cut very smoothly without any binding, and without the need for extra cutting effort other than a steady push. I ran out of box to cut and went on to cut 3 more boxes, opening them up, then breaking them down into strips for the recycle can. It's off to the kitchen next! Watch out, whole fryer chicken!!!
Let me say that the steel is "saw blade steel" in the listing.....BF members, don't let this scare you away at all! The steel cuts like a machine and holds an edge just fine! And you get a Don Hanson custom knife in the deal? A bargain!
Oh, Don is a total GENT, and he ships quickly. You can't go wrong buying the blades he is listing. Thank you, Mr. Hanson! Hammer on!
