Rob, I might have another piece of ivory that's "off the beaten path"...Jon, I WishI am very appreciative of the DHIII's I am lucky to own but must admit that I'm green with envy when one like this surfaces. I especially like examples that are a bit off the beaten path. This is one that got away.
With all due respect, this bowie should be named Bowie From Hell, as that hamon dances like the flames of hell and the blade is wicked as hell. I know hell, for I've lived there the past few years, but what I don't know, Don, is why you're spending so much time on those little slipjoints--lol.

I find artifact ivory intriguing. This piece is simultaneously raw and finished, an impressive feat.
