As is often the case, I have my eye on something new, and so, something has to go.

If you aren't familiar with Don's bowies, well, they are, in a word, amazing, with quality and F&F that is Mastermsith quality all the way, as good as it gets.

This full size bowie has a 9", razor sharp blade of forged W1, smooth, satin finish, very vivid and perfectly executed Hamon/temper line, the guard is forged, complex mosaic damascus, the seam where the blade tang enters the guard is flawless and seamless, something a lot of Mastersmiths can't often seem to do, the handle is some of the nicest amber stag imaginable, reminds me of candy for some reason, it's mortised, and the seam where the 2 halves join cannot even be felt, it is that perfectly fit.

Don would charge $1500 plus shipping for this bowie today, it is in dead mint condition.

This is the bowie that started my interest and recent move into forged blades (I've been a folder maker for over ten years).Made fixed blades before the folders though. Ari this is a very good price, I wouldn't make another for this price and I can't get stag like this anymore much less large enough for a bowie. I hope it finds a good home.
