Don Hanson Strikes Again..

Another fine knife for sure. Congrats Jon.

Perhaps I will get a chance to see it in person at Blade too:D

It's NOT lacking embellishments, in fact it has them in spades. What is absent is overembellishment.

The incredible proportions and subtle shapes, coupled with the busy, yet engaging materials, have joined forces to authenticate the best of what a Custom gent's folder can be.

My highest accolades on this piece. WOW!

I hate saying thanks on here because I didn't make the folder, but thanks everyone (and Don). I'm excited to play with it.

By lack of embelishments, I assume filework is the first thing people notice but I'm not sure. This knife isn't really plain at all. It just doesn't have filework, carving, engraving etc..

I am torn up on whether I would like filework on this or not. I think if it had that, I might be afraid to carry it (even more). Maybe Don will add it one day though. Who knows..

Paul Long, I hope you are ready. :) This little thing needs a clip case and I even had Don make the thumbstud shorter then usual so that it will fit with out poking into the case.

Jon, it's your knife and your thread :)

What we're saying about lack of embelishments is, this knife doesn't need anything else.
The lines and materials are enough and anything else would detract.

Coop, thanks man! You'll get an up close look soon.

Thanks, Guys!

That is now one of my all time favorite folders...just wish I could see it in person.

You have a great edc knife, one of the best.

I don't think it needs anything and is fantastic as is. I would be nervous to carry such a fine knife. Nice work Don.

Coops gonna shoot next week so I'll repost it with Coops and my images probably a week after blade.

Getting in on this late, Jon, but want to offer congratulations! Great looking folder, really liking the recurve blade. Wish I was going to get to see this one, but anxious to hear how you like the 'plain' compared to some of Don's folders you have with more embelishments.

Don is a master at doing his embelishing with his eye, his lines and his top drawer materials.

Doesn't get much better than switching out a Hanson slipjoint and linerlock for EDC"s. Have fun at Blade.

Strikes. That is not a strike. That is Don just doing his usual thing hitting them way out of the park again. :D.

Congratulations Johnathan.
