Hello all. Ya ever bought something you just absolutely love yet find there is something about it that kills the deal for ya? Well, thats the case here. I just got this the day before yesterday. I love it and stand in awe at the skill and craftsmanship of Don Morrow, having always wanted a Morrow knife ever since I saw his work when he had his forum on knife forums with Bill Ruple but no matter what I do there is one thing that will always keep me from really taking to this knife or using it and since all my knives see some use at one point or another that means more to me than keeping one just because its nice.
I do not mean to fault the knife at all or Don because I'm sure this model is par for the course. There is nothing wrong with it at all. The thing thats wrong is with me. The bottom line is the main blade is too much for my thumb to handle.
I may consider trades but I'd rather sell. I've always had a thing for split back whittlers but it would have to be something of equal value or close and if not that I'd just have to like it real well.
Withdrawn (Change of heart).$750. I may not be able to open it all that easily but I can't help but love it anyway.
Its a beautiful amber bone Whittler. File work is flawless, the knife is mint and just the way it arrived here never cutting anything or being in a pocket. Mill relieved jeweled liners, file work in and out, CPM154 blade steel and 2.4 ounces with a 2.5" main Wharncliffe blade and two 1.75" blades in the coping and pen blades. 3 and 3/8" closed length on this one. You can see some very good pictures here of this knife in my 'merry Christmas to me" thread; as this was supposed to be my xmas gift to myself. I don't need to keep it any longer to know I'll never be able to negotiate this blade so my loss is your gain. Thanks:thumbup:
