Does anyone have a Polzien Kozuka? How long has He been making knives? How is the quality, fit and finish? I read somewhere that he and R.J.Martin(whose knives I admire very much!)have worked together? Are His as good as Mr. Martin's? Mr. Polzien's kozuka looks as though it would fit my needs perfectly(BG42 blade,multi-carry kydex sheath). Can He do a double grind and possibly wrap a sheath in rayskin? Les,I saw his #2 Kozuka For Sale on your website,Is it still available? Or does anyone have one they'd care to part with?

Thanks for your time,
OWL

Hello, I cant yet speak for the quality of his knives but I just ordered a custom one directly from him. He sounded very professional and was enthusiastic about giving me what I wanted within the realm of his style. His turn around time is much shorter than most who make this style and I think that he is dedicated to keeping it that way. It sounds like I will get the knife in about 3 months or so. I will try to leave feedback.

Just thought I'd re-post this.

LES,will you be bringing any of DON'S knives to the Chicago/Oak Lawn show this weekend?

I'm dying to see his work up close.

Thanks,OWL.

Hi Owl,

I will have 5 different tactical models and two presentation miniatures.

I will have a 10" tanto, 7" Kwaien, 5" Kwaiken and two different ground Kozuka's.

Don is doing a series of 7 different miniature presentation grade Tanto's. They feature a 3" blade and are incredible in detail.

Look forward to meeting you at the show.

RE: Polzien Knives, you will never be disappointed with one of his. I've purchased about ten of his knives - as Les can attest - from a miniature to several really fine large blades. He is probably the title-holder for best underappreciated maker in America today. Probably one of the most knowledgeable and nicest too. And, quite affordable compared to most of the others trying to match his quality.
