I had an issue with a knife and was given one as a "for your troubles shop credit," but, I'd rather see it in the hands of a service man who I believe will get greater value from it than myself. As long as I have a knife in my hands I'm good to go.

Is it possible...?:thumbup:or:thumbdn:

This is getting bigger than expected Bravo!

if not get the knife and donate it
i know a service man headin over to the sandbox soon cough

Generous idea.

Usually though Busse doesn't transfer shop credit, but they might make an exception

So I was given the green light for donating the shop credit to a Service Member in need. With the release of the BJ's I think that this is pretty good timing. My only problem is that I don't know any service men in need. So I call on you Hogs to help me find some poor soul (in a monetary sense) that just can't afford a Busse but would like to have one when he deploys.

My only requirement is that it needs to be used with the new BJ's. I say this because I want this credit used and not stored.

Thanks Jerry for the great service and thanks Amy for letting me donate this credit.

Such an awesome and generous gesture! I don't know anyone personally, but I want to thank you for what you are doing! Rock on!

Thank You again Peter,

So nice :)

You so rock:thumbup:

Im just saying... <cough> didn't SIG OP state above in a post that hes going over to the sandbox soon.

I have a cousin who just graduated from Marine School.

He comes from a solid family, and his dad raised his two kids without their mom, and still managed to produce two great kids.

I had talked to his dad about trying to line up a piece of INFI or Scrapyard for his graduation from Marine school, but it did not pan out.

He definitely qualifies in the money (Enlisted right out of high school) and gear poor category when it comes quality knives. They appreciate quality firearms (thanks to his dad, and actually his Grandma! She still packs a MOP handled Ruger service 6!).

I could provide Robert's contact info.

Since I don't know anyone that meets the requirements I have to say that this recommendation sounds pretty solid. Kinda reminds me of myself back in the day when I thought a $50 knife was out of reach and only drooled about Busse's in magazine ads. :o

sounds good to me. Would you like to match the shop credit and make it even easier for him to afford the knife ;) send me an email.

Very cool of ya, petah!!:thumbup:

...And to the rest of y'all with shop credits but no good use for them... If you can't find any good service men/women to hook up, have no fear... I happily accept bribes donations!! ;);) Hey, I'm here to help! ;):D

ETA: BTW, if you 2 pool up for a Bussekin knife and still come up a little short, drop me a PM, please.:thumbup:

Very awesome of you to do this! I already have some Busse steel, but definitely know some guys who could use it if you haven't found someone already

Petah, email sent.

If we figure something out, I could make him a leather sheath for it my self. I would have to try some way to figure out how to make the sheath easily removable from his gear, but still solidly attached.

I can make a serviceable taco or pancake leather sheath with a normal belt loop, but am in the process of trying my first "easy detach" leather sheath.
