Hey all,
I am so glad I stumbled onto S!K a few months ago. I have quickly become a huge fan, and snapped up the first 5.1 2nd I could get my hands on. So to win this prize is just a trip! Below is the message just sent to C.G...

Holy Smokes, CG, I'm blown away.

I will take #3, the SK-4.7 pre-production knife with the UKE 2.0.

This was really, really generous of you to make this happen, put the time into it, and the good will this has generated is fantastic! I will try my best to contribute the the S!K community I have only recently joined. I'm glad to have been a part of this. Thank you.

I really will try to do this knife justice, and thanks again.

azwelke - you're up, buddy!

Congrats TR!!
Very nice choice. We went with the 4.1 in 3V, haven't tried 3V yet..

Thanks again CG!!

I have to admit, it was a tough choice between the two!

Having to choose between a one of a kind 4.1 with a fancy sheath or a brand new unreleased model would be hard, I really feel bad you had to go through that :D

I wonder if we'll hear from the person who got the prototype sketch. I hope he appreciates what he has. I know that piece of paper can't cut anything, but it is still a really cool piece of SURVIVE! memorabilia. I'd frame it for sure!

Congrats to winners!
Great group of folks here & Excellent idea for Guy & Ellie!
We appreciate your efforts & great products....Cheers!

You are spot on ... This treasured piece will be nicely matted and framed.. I will post pics here for you later on.

This is may response to Chiral...:onthego:

Greetings Chiral Grolim,
Thank you for your email and your thoughtful fund raiser.
I first heard of your UKE 2.0 as a result of this fund raiser and I will be purchasing one for my YouTube Channel in the near future as well as your Gerber Strong Arm creation.
Both are very ingenious and simple.. Just what I like. I want more people to know about them.
I can purchase your creations from you but Guys drawing is really a one of a kind and priceless. I'm guessing you would agree. So that is what I would like to choose as my prize in this very unexpected drawing. I would like the Original Drawing please rather than the colored one.
Thank you so much for everything you do.
Blessings

This thread, like most of the threads in this sub-forum, renew my faith in humanity. It is great (and rare) to see so many folks being cool to each other on a relatively anonymous online forum.

Chiral, thanks for making this happen! Good on you!

Congratulations Rod, that is a very cool prize on its own. Thanks for stopping in and I'm sure we would all like to see those pictures when it is framed.

Rod! I'm truly glad you posted to give us an update. I had a feeling anyone who would donate to a wedding fund for the Seiferd's would be a pretty serious fan. Looking forward to pictures!

nc, that is quite the affirmation!

Congratulations to all the winners!

Ellie, might want to talk to Nate about getting one of his Potato knives. :)

I'm ordering another Tojiro DP as we speak, it'll be on its way to you when it arrives.

That Tojiro looks pretty sweet. Especially for the price.

Chiral,
It's obvious this took no short amount of time, thought, and effort to put this together and see it through to the end, and the transparent and professional manner in which you handled this from start to end deserves major props.:thumbup:

They're pretty nice. Not much flex to them, if any, but also not hardened to the point of being as brittle as a lot of the Japanese kitchen knives. The 210mm cost about the same as the Victorinox fibrox 8" chef- also good knives but they've shot up in price and lost out in the bang for the buck department IMO.

So much good feeling generated by this thread, I had to stay away for a bit before I started writing poetry or something :D

Quick update, the prizes are all either shipped or will be soon (Guy has the address for the GSO-4 picture, he'll get it out to you, DOCROD)

My apologies to those waiting on orders from me, I had this benefit going, then got slammed with work over the weekend and this week as well, so I'm running behind. But I lucked-out that none of the winners were over-seas this time! :D

Thanks again to all who contributed. And i promise I will be working on videos/pics for a review of the mystery-steel SK-4.7 that I received as well.
