Off site graphics should be prohibited; Yet, the knife pictures can stay! The smileys are not only friendly but they help convey the mood of the poster and give the post a sense of emotion. I like them.

If bandwidth was not an issue, graphics can be alot of fun. Imagine how fun it would be to have a photo of each posters face shown below his/her name. Just a thought.
