I thought I'd show these pics as an example that everything is not always as it seems !

I don't think this deer had been dead long and Maisy looked as if she expected it to jump back up !!!

So these are from another one of pit's big hikes you are thinking.....Well no they were actually taken on a little cut through off from a main road, it took me about 10 mins to walk the whole thing and what I fail to show are the discarded Tim hortons cups and paper bags etc, yeah it wasn't the nicest place I have been but you would never tell from the pics eh !!!!

Anyway I then decided to go drink my tea where I knew it was nice....

Maisy took a dip....

And then we were in the car again to stop off at the beach !

Vancouver Island is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. I was there last summer and stayed in Comox valley near Courtenay. The North American rain forest is gorgeous and i can't wait to go back. I need to gather up my pics and post them, but thanks for sharing your pics.

I have to say that dog can stand some serious cold! Like always Pitdog, thanks for sharing. It pics like your that I live through since I can't seem to find the time anymore to get out.

My dog (pooka) says to tell your dog (Maisy) ... that she is one lucky puppy! :D:thumbup:

All pooka gets to chase are some random grey squirrels.

Ahh, I see. To me though the first four pics look like heaven, trees and green!

Yeah that was exactly my point, I only showed you what I wanted you to see, not that it was a total dump but ya get the idea !!!

Actually, I'm starting to suspect that I could drop Pitdog and Maisy off into a trash-laden landfill, and he'd come out with about 20 stunning pictures of sweeping beauty.

As beautiful as his area is (and it is!), I'm wondering if his keen eye with the camera somehow triples the effect.

I'd like to experiment with that. Maybe not so much a landfill, but I'd like to see Pitdog take pictures of an area thousands of miles away from his home. I bet they'd be just as jaw dropping.

If nothing else, Pit and Maisy have got me looking at "conventional nature" in all new ways.
