Don't feed stray dogs...

I got mine from a guy in Milton about an hour south of seattle. So ours Konas are not related :grumpy: Your lab looks like he is pretty big, very nice looking dog. Makes me want another one.

My wife loves golden retrievers too and wants one of them next, she wanted one first but I said, "Woman, I want a Chocolate Lab!" And it worked. I was set on getting a lad, I wanted once since I was 15. They make great companions.

My Kona (female) is only 65 pounds. That particular picture makes her look big for some reason (probably the light/dark contrast with the snow). She is actually on the smaller side for a Lab, but since I hunt her on upland birds, being smaller is a good thing and she can go all day in the field without getting exhausted like some of the bigger ones do.

To continue this OT thread jack, here's another couple pics of her:

My BIL has been a Labrador guy all his life (and hunts more than I do), but his 7 yo daughter wanted a Golden Retriever, so they just got one a couple of weeks ago. They're good dogs overall, but I understand that hunting them in the upland fields is a pain in the behind due to their long hair picking up all manner of burrs and seeds.

George is an 80 lb. Border Collie, Lab?, Chow?, something mix.

And I'm happy to help hijack this thread. And congratulate OR Knife Nerd on his weekend.

I'm enjoying seeing everyone's dogs! I didn't know so many people here were dog people. Anyone that loves dogs and knives is a friend of mine!
It's good to hear in the other threads that Dave is setting everybody up with some stuff from the sale. I think everyone shares in the fun even if they can't make it.
I snapped a bunch of photos but I need to find time to go through and blur out faces for the inside shots. I know I wouldn't want someone posting random photos of me online, so all the
strangers who ended up in my shots deserve some courtesy. Most of the shots were outside shots, including the flags with the Japanese flag out front and the Oregon flag. I made
a comment about "I can show everyone our flag has two sides!" and got "you're such a dork!" Yeah, so I am.. but how many people know the Oregon flag is double sided.

When I was there Saturday some guy was complaining saying it was worse than Black Friday with how
crowded it was inside. There was absolutely no line outside at that point but it was a bit crowded inside. He should have been there Friday!
I wish I had taken more pics on Friday but there was hardly room to stand and take a pic with just a phone. At one point the line to pay wrapped all through and almost
went back out the front door.
