The blade bug bit me this past December at the young age of 60. To this point, I have been primarily interested in Spyderco kinves, quickly building my collection. THEN, I started frequenting the CRK section ..... WOW! I have to keep a drool rag next to the computer (just to make sure I don't short out my keyboard) whenever Lisa posts a picture or 20 of her fabulous collection! Anyway .... you pushed me over the edge and I received my first Sebenza today. Looking at all of the pics, the one I decided would be my first was the large "Straight Ahead" CGG model. If I've made any typos here, please forgive me, because I can't put the thing down ... and that makes for touch and go typing! I love it. I now have a small Sebanza Insingo on order. Not sure how long that will take to show up in my hands ... which might be good, since this one won't be leaving my hands anytime soon. So thanks everyone .... you've given me one more way to dispose of my pension!!

That's what I'm saying, would you rather look at a fistful of pension dollars or have a Sebenza in your hand?
I like your choice!
Spyderco's are nice too, as proven in the "companion knife" thread, but there's something about the CRKs. I, of course dig 'em.
I think a lot of folks have some WAY nicer pieces than me, I just tend to post more pics. At any rate, happy collecting!

Fantastic choice for a first sebenza. Heck it would have been a great choice if it was your 20th. Looks great

Nice choice for your first Sebenza.

You will be a Sebenza-holic in no time.

I don't generally like the decorated Sebenzas, but that one is actually pretty nice.

Here is my current favourite (I want silver thumb studs though):

Mike ...

I like that Insingo quite a bit as well. I have a small Insingo with Micarta inlays which should be here within a week and a small Insingo with plain scales on order with no anticipated delivery date.

Well ..... thanks to the passion exhibited by everyone here .... my second CRK arrived today .... small Insingo with black canvas micarta inlays:

And ..... somebody stop me (you realize, I am kidding here!!!) ... I have three more on order (two were in stock and should be here within a week .... a small Seb with raindrop damascus blade and reverse silver contrast unique graphic scale .... and a small Seb with Box Elder inlays). The third is a "who knows when it will be in" plain small Seb Insingo. I have two Mnandis in mind .... but those are so hard to find, I think I am going to have to order direct from CRK.

The Straight Ahead is probably my favorite unique models. That one is really sharp looking.

BTW...nice photography!!

Thanks. The colors drew me to this one. And .... my position on photography is that if you take enough shots ... one or two of them will be acceptable! To be quite honest ... I don't have an artistic bone in my body .... so I am always thankful for those one or two shots!!

Can't wait to see a picture of your first Mnandi, beautiful collection you have going on there, Congratulations.

dino ....

Already been posted ..... but after admiring all of your beautiful Mnandis, it pales in comparison! Link to the post is here.

My daughter, quite frankly, thinks I am a little touched. My newest large Sebenza arrived today ... a Unique Graphic design with midnight lanyard and hemisphere bead.

That makes 6 CRKs for the month of May ... 2 large and 3 small Sebs and one Mnandi. The more I look at them, the more I handle them, the more I love them. I have a box elder Mnandi on order with a retailer and called CRK today to place an order for a Mnandi with snakewood inlays. The only other Mnandi I really want at this point is a Mammoth Ivory with Damascus .... no luck finding one and CRK is not taking any orders for Mammoth Ivory for an undetermined time. Anyway, I am happy with this latest purchase. The design is stunning (well, I think) and photos can't do justice to the way the light refracts off the design.

6 CRK's in a month,

You sir must have some deep pockets. Care to donate to the SEND A FORUM MEMBER TO THE CUP fund do you? Excepting all donations now.

Impressive collection I might add.

Excellent, d.r.h. - thanks for sharing.

I hear you - love all things CRK, but my wallet thinks otherwise.

That one sure is nice, really like the background, it shows off the knife well
