My Mom lives on a large dairy farm in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and uses knives every day to open hay bales and other chores. I decided that it was high time that she should have a nice knife instead of the crappy little slip joints that she's always carried. So a few weeks ago I sent her an early birthday present, a 705s BM axis lock. She was thrilled and has used it constantly.

Last week she calls me up. She just went to the big knife show at the fairgrounds in Harrisonburg. She walked around and marveled at the custom knives and picked a lot of them up and checked them out....

Now she's telling me that she wants a Colt switchblade! She went on and on about how cool it was and she would just love to carry that thing around, etc, etc. Who would have thunk it. My Mom the Knife Knut!

Way to go Mom! You should save up and get her a D/A LCC..She may need to open those hay bales fast.

The first knife was probably used to cut stuff.

Yet more proof that knife nuttiness is a genetically inherited desease. It's not our fault we are predisposed to it... really.

Too cool. Maybe now you will get what you really wanted for your birthday and such.
