In addition to my medium MOLLE-strapped ALICE pack partially full of get-by gear (we're a 90-minute ferry ride across the water from home), it has my 25-round 12g belt in case I need to feed my 14" 870, which is soft-cased under the seat of my truck. 
It was a tough trip to pack for preparedness wise.. we're only one city away from home, about 100km total, but 30km or so of that is open water....
