Thanks for chiming in, and for all the kind words.
"Funky Lanyard" is actually a pinky catch. It is a feature that was supposed to work in conjunction with another "feature"...but perhaps more on that later.
It also acts as an excellent thumb rest in reverse grip, and can be used for striking or even a "glass tap-it-enough-to breaker"...
